Specialty Coffee Chain

A US specialty coffee chain was opening 12 new locations in 6 weeks and needed 800 waxed canvas half aprons with vegetable-tanned leather neck straps and debossed leather chest patches displaying their wordmark. Their previous supplier (also Chinese) charged 22% more and required an 8-week production window — too slow for the rollout.

Our in-house leather workshop produced all 800 chest patches in 5 days, each debossed 0.6mm deep with the buyer's wordmark. The waxed canvas was 12oz tobacco brown from our stocked inventory (no fabric procurement lead time). Solid brass rivets were hand-set at each strap attachment point.

Aprons shipped FOB Ningbo on day 32, then air-freighted to our US-bonded warehouse for distribution to the 12 store openings. Net cost savings vs. their prior supplier: 22%. After 6 months in service the leather necks have aged exactly as expected — supple, evenly burnished, no cracking at the buckle point.

We are now their contracted barista-apron supplier across all locations, with a standing replenishment order of 200 units per quarter shipped direct-to-store via Shopify integration.
